WING NEWS:

26 July 2005--Col Carr is pleased to pass this information to the Wing. Ohio now has had two back to back National Cadet Advisory Council Chairmen. This speaks highly of both the individuals involved, and of the quality of the Cadet Program here in Ohio.

Dear NCAC Representatives,

On behalf of the NCAC's senior advisor, Col Amy Courter, I'm pleased to announce that pending official appointment by the National Commander, Ohio's C/Lt Col Tom Rehman will become Chair of the National Cadet Advisory Council for the 2005-06 term. Cadet Rehman narrowly defeated New Mexico's C/Lt Col David Brackenduring the NCAC's recent non-binding election. Col Courter is coordinating with Brig Gen Pineda to make Cadet Rehman's appointment official. When the National Board convenes in St. Louis on 18 August, Cadet Rehman will succeed C/Col Andrew Shepherd as chair (or acting chair ifthe appointment is not finalized by that time). Good luck in the new term, Tom! CAP's 25,000 cadets will be looking toyou for leadership.

Sincerely,

Curt LaFond
