A new Civil Air Patrol Public Affairs Program Reg 190-1 dated 4 Jun 2007 is available but don't throw away the old Volume 1 and Volume II. In speaking with NHQ at the PAO Academy held in Atlanta the beginning of August, there will be a new CAP pamphlet coming out next spring with all examples that are presently showing in the old CAP reg.

If you are a new PAO, prior to changing out the regulations, I strongly encourage you to take a look at the new reg as well as the old one. The new one tells you what is expected of you. The old one talks indepth of you duties and responsibilities, CAP missions, how to promote Civil Air Patrol with the media, community relations, unit communications, unit newsletters, photography, mission roles, news releases, and fund raising.
