Microsoft Internet Explorer Flaw

Microsoft has issued an out-of-band emergency patch Wednesday for a zero-day Internet Explorer vulnerability that can allow hackers to install malware on susceptible computers without any user intervention. The flaw, which is given the highest severity rating of critical, affects all versions of Microsoft's IE Web browser.

It is recommended that you install this patch ASAP on all Windows systems using Internet Explorer. You may accomplish this in one of two ways:

1. Run windows or Microsoft update. This can be done from your start menu, or by browsing to www.windowsupdate.com

2. Browse to the following site: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS08-078.mspx and select which OS and Internet Explorer version you are currently using. The site will take you to the appropriate download file.
