A BIG congratulations to the Group 4 personnel who were recognized for their achievements at the 2004 Ohio Wing Banquet last night.
Senior Member of the Year: Capt Yvonne Demyan
Cadet NCO of the Year: C/2Lt Adam McClish
Aircrew Member of the Year: Maj Tom Felber (awarded posthumously)
And for the THIRD YEAR, Ohio Wing's 2003 Squadron of the Year goes to the 96th.
Great job! Your accomplishments and the hard work of EVERYONE is making Group 4 the talk of the Wing!
The Wing Communications Department has asked all of the Groups to change their call signs. Here are the new protocol directives and current tactical calls per unit;
Any three digit call sign Ending with a 1 will indicate a Commander.
Any three digit call sign ending in a 2 will indicate a Deputy Commander.
Any three digit call sign Ending in a 4 will indicate a Communications Officer.
Any three digit call sign ending in a 0 will indicate a squadron vehicle.
Any 1 - 2 digit call signs will remain as Wing staff numbers.
Also, all FIXED base stations will be assigned a "900" series number for Example, the 96th at the Stow Armory will have a base call sign of Columbus 941, 9 indicating a fixed base station, 4 indicating Group 4, and 1 since it's the first one in the group. Since Group 4 HQ and the 96th are in the same location, they will share the same call sign.
