Welcome and farewell

As we approach the Change of Command for Group 4, staff changes are already taking place. Joe Shook has taken one of those dreaded Wing HQ jobs (lol). Carol Ingersol now moves into the Finance Officer slot. Mike Bower is leaving Group HQ to again work at the unit level with the 96th.

My thanks to both Mike and Joe for their work at Group and continued dedication to the program. Welcome to Carol, who finds herself in the finance role at Group for the 2nd time. Some people never learn :)

HUGE NEWS: Rehman slotted for top cadet post

Congratulations and round of cheers go out to our Group 4 Director of Cadet Programs, C/LTC Tom Rehman on his appointment as the Chair of the National Cadet Advisory Council. That's right folks. NATIONAL. This makes Mr. Rehman the top cadet advisor to the National Commander.

Please join me in giving Tom a big thumbs up and wish him the best of luck on his ADY assignment.

August 8th Staff Meeting

To All Group IV Staff:

Please bring any records relevant to your position at Group IV with you to the staff meeting. I would like to be able to begin our plans and programs immediately and need to know where we currently stand. I look forward to working with all of you to build a dynamic Group! See you on the 8th.

Group Staff Call

With the coming Group 4 Change of Command, we will be holding a Group staff meeting at the Green Road Armory this Monday, 8 AUG, at 1900 hrs. All current Group staff and new Group staff-selects from Lt Col Snell should try to attend.

We will be going over the COC paperwork and Lt Col Snell will discuss is plans for the Group.

Sorry about the error. The Group 4 Change of Command will be at the STOW Armory on Wednesday, 7 SEP 1930 hrs.

Uniform of the day will be dress blues or CAP SM Combination.

Group 4 Change of Command

As my two year tour as Group Commander comes to a close, and my new work schedule becomes so cumbersome that I am having a hard time fitting the command job in with the one they actually pay me for (imagine that), I wanted to announce that Lt Col Tom Snell of the 252nd will once again be taking the helm as the Group CC.

Lt Col Snell is well known to all of us here in the Group. He has served as the CC previously, and the Director of Cadet Programs at Ohio Wing HQ.

I will continue to serve on Group 4 staff and in the IT department at Wing.

The Change of Command will take place at the Green Road Armory on 7 SEP. All four Group units should have representatives attend.

More details to follow.
