Cadet Encampment: What to Expect
Encampment provides cadets with a structured and supervised environment designed to challenge them while ensuring their safety and well-being. Cadets are supervised by trained senior members and experienced cadet cadre who maintain a safe, professional training environment.
New cadets may initially find the pace and expectations demanding, and it is normal to experience some homesickness as they adjust to living away from home and working as part of a team. Parents can help their cadet prepare by reviewing the packing list, ensuring boots are properly fitted and broken in, and discussing the importance of maintaining a positive attitude and resilience during the encampment experience.
With preparation and support, cadets often find encampment to be one of the most rewarding and memorable experiences in the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program.
